Congratulations and Well Done to the following.
 
Club Finals Day
Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this year's Finals Day but I am reliably informed that it was a most enjoyable day for all of those who took part in or witnessed the event and the matches that took place.
Many thanks to Doug who ran the competitions and to all those who helped out, on the day, to make it a very successful event.

A reminder for last years winners. Please return your trophies to the Clubhouse ASAP so that they can be engraved with this years winner's names.
 
Aussie Pairs
The Aussie Pairs competition concluded on Friday night. It was a fun 4 weeks, filling 5 rinks, with willing subs contributing to the flow of the competition.
Malcolm Chater and Dave Woods won all 4 games as did Hilary Edge and Debbie Senior so, with both on 8 points it was down to the combined 4 week aggregate score. Shots scored minus shots against. Debbie and Hilary’s aggregate was 27 and Malcolm and Dave’s was 28 making them the winners. Congratulations!
Thank you to all the participants for contributing to the fun and to those who helped set up the rinks each week.
For those who missed Aussie Pairs this year please join us next August for the 4 week fun, 12 end game.

At The Aviva National Finals held at Royal Leamington Spa
On Saturday in the Family Pairs, Sharon Varndell and Dan Cookman (Hampshire) sadly lost their Round of 16 match against Mark Walton & Scott Walton (Yorkshire), 11 - 18.

Tuesday 20th August. NFWBA Ladies Team Away versus Milford on Sea. Match postponed. To be played on Wednesday 28th August.

Tuesday 20th August. NFBA Men's 1st Team Home & Away versus West Moors. A very close encounter but the 1st Team lose out by just one shot in the Totton & Eling Shield Quarter Final. Rinks 2 - 2. Shots 56 - 57.

Thursday 22nd August. B&DWBA Ladies Team Away versus Bournemouth Poppies. Back to winning ways for the Thursday Ladies who now have a 9 point lead, with a game in hand. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 24 - 36. Points 2 - 4.

Saturday 24th August. B&DBA Mixed B Team at Home versus Argyll D. This match was not played due to a waterlogged green. It was agreed that each team would receive 1 Point.

Saturday 24th August. B&DBA Mixed 1st Team Away versus Fordingbridge. A nail biting end to the match with the last wood played turning it into a 1 shot win for the 1st Team who rise up, one place, to 3rd. Rinks 1 - 2. Shots 53 - 54. Points 2 - 8.

Saturday 24th August. B&DBA Mixed A Team at Home versus Electric Electrons. The A Team stay in 3rd place after another fine win. Rinks 2 - 1. Shots 55 - 50. Points 8 - 2.

Saturday 31st August. B&DBA Mixed B Team Away versus Fordingbridge Flyers. 10.00am start.

Saturday 31st August. B&DBA Mixed 1st Team at Home versus Argyll. 2.00pm start.
