Ringwood Bowling Club

The season got off to a wonderful start in terms of both bowls and weather.
On Wednesday evening, 22nd April, Club Captain Lee Croad's Roll Up Triples was well supported with 24 players, including some of our new members, taking part.

The 4 Rinks of, 15 End, friendly and competitive matches were played in good weather on a speedy, for this time of year, green.

Special thanks to Lee Croad for organising the event and to Paul Wright and his team for producing a great playing surface.

Well done and congratulations to Patricia Reeves, who was part of the Dolphin Indoor Bowls Club's Ladies Fours Team who are The Vivienne Trophy Champions for 2026. At the EIBA National Finals, played at Nottingham on Wednesday 22nd April, Dolphin defeated Lincoln 71-51 to lift the Trophy, with Patricia's Rink winning 21-5.

On Saturday, with the brilliant weather continuing, two friendly but competitive matches were played at Ringwood. The results were as follows.

 1st Team versus Knyveton Gardens, Rinks 1 - 2. Shots 48 - 51.  - 'A' Team versus Argyll, Rinks 0 - 3. Shots 34 - 63.

On Sunday, the second B&DBA Annual Tournament took place at New Milton Bowling Club.

Ringwood Bowling Club played well but unfortunately, just missed out on qualifying for the Finals Stages by just one point.

Final Results: Winners: Branksome Park. Runners Up: Boscombe Cliff. 3rd Place: Poole Park. 4th Place: New Milton.
