Congratulations and Well Done to Chris Pentelow and Helen Blackiston who are this years Bowls Hampshire Golden Girls Champions
On Wednesday, Chris Pentelow and Helen Blackiston played in the final stages of the Bowls Hampshire Golden Girls Competition at Banister Park.
In the Semi Final they defeated Sue Dixon and Janie Vickers (Oakley) 20-16 and in the afternoon, in a very close Final, they won 19-18 against Jean Garrod and Lyn Booth (Mayfield Park).

On Wednesday 13th August, the Aviva National Finals start at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa
Ringwood BC members Steve Hill (2 Wood Singles), Carol Broomfield (Woman’s O’60 Pairs), Sooki, Steve Hill, John Sanderson and Lee Croad (Men’s Senior Fours) are all taking part in the Finals. You can see when they are playing by scrolling down to the Coming Up Next Week section, below.

There is no need for the person who helped themselves to one of Chris Dalrymple's mini pork pies, from the fridge, to replace it as Chris is quite chuffed that she has lost weight.

Tuesday 5th August. NFWBA Ladies Team at Home versus Waterside 2. Another week without accruing any points but the Ladies manage to stay above their opponents by 1 point in the league. Rinks 0 - 2. Shots 38 - 45. Points 0 - 6.

Tuesday 5th August. NFBA Men's 1st Team Home & Away versus New Milton B. A good win in the 1st Round of the Presidents Trophy. Rinks 2 - 2. Shots 51 - 42.

Thursday 7th August. B&DWBA Ladies Team Away versus Knyveton Gardens. Despite losing this top of the table clash, by just 1 shot, the Ladies stay in top slot by1 point and with a game in hand. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 34 - 33. Points 4 - 2.

Thursday 7th August. NFBA Men's A Team Home & Away versus Verwood. A nail biting end to a very close match but the A Team manage to get across the line with a 1 shot win.Rinks 2½ - 1½. Shots 57 - 56.

Saturday 9th August. B&DBA Morning Mixed B Team at Home versus Swanage Dolphins. Despite losing this match, the B team stay in 3rd place but only 1 point above the Downton Dragons. Rinks1 - 1. Shots 29 - 43. Points 2 - 4.

Saturday 9th August. B&DBA Mixed 1st Team Away versus New Milton. With no points accrued from this match the 1st Team sit, worryingly, only 4 points above the relegation zone. Rinks 3 - 0. Shots 60 - 34. Points 10 - 0.

Saturday 9th August. B&DBA Mixed A Team at Home versus Electric Electrons. A good win against the Electrons secures 5th place for the A Team. Rinks 2 - 1. Shots 51 - 42. Points 8 - 2.
