I bumped into George Dickson a few days ago, down in the Town. I am very pleased to say that George is looking very well and is in good spirits. In the bad times last year, he was in a very poor state and was down to 8 stone in weight. He is now up to 10 stone and managing to get out and about, albeit with a wheeled walker. He is hoping to get down to the club during the coming season and if well enough be able to get on the green. I'm sure you will join me in wishing George well and in hoping to see him at the club this year.

Paul Wright has published a new report for 2025. Click on 'Green Side Up' to view this fascinating read which illustrates how much thought, planning and work goes into making our green the best playing surface possible. I'm sure that you will join me in thanking Paul and his helpers for all the hard work they put in, on the green and it's surrounds.

The new Bowls Hampshire Online Website is up and running. In this, it's first year, it will only be used for Affiliation, Membership and Competition Entry administration. Following this, the website will be expanded to include other aspects of Bowls Hampshire activities.
As the Club Membership Renewals come in this year, members names are added to the Bowls Hampshire Online Website. Members names have always been a requirement of Bowls Hampshire so that they can calculate affiliation fees and verify competition entries.
Members who have already entered their names to the Bowls Hampshire Competition Entry Forms, on the club noticeboard, have also had their names and contact details entered on the new website.
The Entry Forms, on the club noticeboard, will be removed on the 24th February, for submission.

Club Membership Renewals have been slow to come in this year. To date, 30 members from last year have renewed and 34 have not done so, as yet.
It is important to know what our membership will be, for this year, as later in February we have to decide how many club teams can be entered into Leagues and Inter Club Competitions.
Therefore, we need to know ASAP what our membership level is. Invitations to renew membership were sent out at the end of last year and if you haven't renewed as yet, you can download a renewal form by clicking on either Renewal Form 2025.xlsx or Renewal Form 2025.pdf.
However, if you have decided not to renew this year it would be a great help to know this. If so, it would be appreciated if you could let Geoff Robins know by contacting him on 07754 010469 or by email.

Chris, who joined us in May last year, has been very busy designing and developing a new design of Bowls Scoreboard. Using his inventive accumen he has invested his own time and money in producing an advanced design of Scoreboard which is easier to handle, lighter, rest free, windproof and has an advertising panel.
His design is registered and he has a website that you can view by clicking HERE.
Thanks to Chris, we will have new Scoreboards this year and he has agreed to supply them to the Club at cost price.
Well Done Chris and Success for the Future
