The Jack Attack competition, scheduled for next Sunday 3rd September, has been posponed until next year.
 
Congratulations to Helen Blackiston who is the 2023 B&DWBA Champion of Champions. She won the Final 21-18 against Julie Leake (Lymington BC), played at Argyle on Friday 18th August.
In the same Championships, the Ladies Fours team won their semi final match against Braeside but sadly lost to Broadstone Wessex in the afternoon's final.
Well Done to Helen and all the Ladies who took part.
 
Congratulations and very well done to Mark Brocklebank, Steve Van Wyk, Derrick Fulker and Peter Ward who played three matches in the Bowls England Senior Fours Chapionship, during last week, at Leamington Spa. They reached the Quarter Finals where they lost, this very close match, 21-19 to Mike Stray, Roy Elkington, David Brammer, Kevin Lewis (Branston BC, Lincolnshire). Click HERE for results.
 
Congratulations to the following members who have reached the following Finals.
Lee Croad. NFBA Champion of Champions versus Jamie Hughes (Waterside). Final to be played on Sunday 3rd September at Highcliffe. Lee is the only Ringwood BC representative in the 2023 NFBA Finals.
Peter Smith and Helen Blackiston. B&DBA Mixed Pairs versus Vic Druce (Bournemouth BC). Final to be played on Sunday 10th September at Bournemouth.
Allan Mason. B&DBA Officers Cup versus Chris Cieciura ( Pelhams BC). Final to be played on Sunday 10th September at Bournemouth.
 
The Aussie Pairs series of matches is now completed and the Winners are Peter Smith and Lee Carter. Runners up are Roger Clark and Fred Alderman. Well done to everyone and to the subs for making this year the best so far.
 
Club Finals Day
We were blessed with very good weather, again, and a good crowd was entertained by some some great Bowling. Sustenance, during the day was supplied by Ivan Griffin's marvellous barbecue, ably assisted by his apprentice Dan Cookman and Brian Harrington with his well stocked bar. The results for the matches follow except for the Junior Singles Final, between Debbie Senior and Neil Richmond, which will be played on Wednesday 30th August at 10:30.

Tuesday 22nd August. NFWBA Ladies Team at Home versus Fordingbridge. Despite losing this match, the Ladies jump up to 5th place based on shots difference. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 25 - 37. Points 2 - 4.

Tuesday 22nd August  NFBA Men's 1st Team Home and Away versus New Milton. The 1st Team sadly bow out of the President's Trophy at the semi final stage. Rinks ? - ?. Shots ?? - ??.

Thursday 24th August. B&DWBA Ladies Team at Home versus Bournemouth Electric. The Ladies lose more distance on the leading pack but still stay in 4th place, following this whitewash. Rinks 0 - 2. Shots 28 - 47. Points 0 - 6.

Saturday 26th August. B&DBA Morning Mixed B Team at Home versus Richmond Park A. This 6th loss on the bounce keeps the B Team in the relegation zone. Rinks 0 - 2. Shots 25 - 34. Points 0 - 6.

Saturday 26th August. B&DBA Mixed 1st Team Away versus Braeside. The 1st Team drop 3 places, into 6th, following this whitewash on the Braeside carpet. Rinks 3 - 0. Shots 72 - 44. Points 10 - 0.

Saturday 26th August. B&DBA Mixed A Team at Home versus Braeside . An exciting, close match, but the A Team just miss out. Rinks 1 - 2. Shots 52 - 54. Points 2 - 8.
