Weekly Bulletin 13th August

Keep your eyes peeled on your local News Outlets for the report on Dan Cookman's England Call-Up. The short news article will be, hopefully, appearing in the following publications. Ringwood and Fordingbridge News, Bournemouth Echo, New Milton Advertiser, Salisbury Journal and Southern Daily Echo.
 
I am away next weekend and so the next News Bulletin won't be published until sometime on Monday 21st August. I have included the 21st August in the list of upcoming events.
 
Ringwood Bowling Club Members, Sharon Varndell, Pete Ward, Mark Brocklebank, Steve Van Wyk and Derrick Fulker will be travelling up to Leamington Spa, during the week, to play in Bowls England Competition Finals. Scroll down to the Coming Up Next Week section for more details. Wishing Good Luck to them all in their respective matches.

Tuesday 8th August  NFBA Men's 1st Team Home & Away versus Brockenhurst. A convincing victory for the 1st Team in the 1st Round of the President's Trophy. Rinks 4 - 1. Shots 79 - 39.

Thursday 10th August. B&DWBA Ladies Team at Home versus New Milton. A close fought match but the Ringwood Ladies come in second best and drop, one place, to 4th in the table. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 33 - 36. Points 2 - 4.

Thursday 10th August. NFBA Men's A Team Home & Away versus Milford on Sea B. Another convincing victory, this time for the A Team, winning both Away Rinks, in the 1st Round of the Ringwood Shield. Rinks 3 - 1. Shots 68 - 36.

Friday 11th August. B&DBA Mixed 1st Team Away versus Bournemouth. Ringwood travelled back to Bournemouth to play this postponed match, with a strong team, and took the spoils. This great win lifts them 3 places into fifth. Rinks 1 - 2. Shots 50 - 62. Points 2 - 8.

Saturday 12th August. B&DBA Morning Mixed B Team at Home versus Pelhams Sea Horses. Another close match but the B Team stay above the relegation zone, despite this loss. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 30 - 33. Points 2 - 4.

Saturday 12th August. B&DBA Mixed 1st Team Away versus New Milton. The 1st Team just miss out in this nail biter and drop down the table. However with one game in hand they hope to climb back up, following the catch up match, tomorrow, against Fordingbridge. Rinks 1 - 2. Shots 60 - 59. Points 6 - 4.

Saturday 12th August. B&DBA Mixed A Team Away versus Fordingbridge A. Another nail biter but this time the Ringwood team come out tops. Hopefully, with one game in hand and repeat performances, they will climb out of the relegation zone. Rinks 1 - 2. Shots 50 - 51. Points 2 - 8.
