Weekly Bulletin 6th August

Well Done Ringwood. On Wednesday a Ringwood team defeated Boscombe Cliff in the 3rd Round of the Bowls Hampshire Mixed Top Club Competition. They next face Highcliffe in the West Area Final to be played at Bournemouth Bowling club on Wednesday 30th August at 6.00pm. All support welcome. A Big Thank You to the ladies for their efforts in providing hospitality to Boscombe Cliff after the match. Everyone was well looked after.

Ringwood also hosted the Bowls Hampshire Benvolent Triples on Friday and again a huge thank you to everyone who helped.

Congratulations and well done to Fred Alderman who has won this season's Harry Wright Trophy with an overall score of +50. Runner Up was Roger Clark who finished on a score of +38. Well done also to him, to those who took part during the series and to Doug Jones who tirelessly organised and ran the competition.

Tuesday 1st August. NFWBA Ladies Team at Home Versus Highcliffe. The Ladies rise up one place in the table following this exciting drawn game. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 28 - 28. Points 3 - 3.

Thursday 3rd August. NFBA Men's B Team. Away versus Highcliffe C. The B Team finish their league season in 4th place after this postponed match from the 22nd June. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 36 - 23. Points 3 - 1.

Sunday 6th August. B&DBA Morning Mixed B Team Away versus West Moors Woodpeckers. A close game but the B Team just miss out resulting in the Woodpeckers going above Ringwood in the table. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 36 - 34. Points 4 - 2.
