Ringwood Bowling Club

Congratulations and Very Well Done to Mark Brocklebank, Steve Van Wyk, Derrick Fulker and Peter Ward who are the 2023 Bowls Hampshire Senior Fours Champions. They have won through to play in the Bowls England National Finals which take place at Royal Leamington Spa on the 23rd & 24th August.

Although not quite matching their achievements of last year, Dan Cookman and Luke Bell (Sports Centre) played very well to reach the Final of the 2023 Bowls Hampshire Junior Pairs. Unfortunately, they lost 21-10 to Zac Miller (Basingstoke Town) and Lewis Brimble (Knyveton Gardens) in the Final.

Congratulations to the Ladies' Team of Mavis Hammond, Helen Blackiston, Chris Pentelow and Debbie Senior who play their Bowls Hampshire Area Fours Final, against N. Mapes, next Wednesday 5th July at Fordingbridge, 2pm.

Monday 26th June. NFWBA Ladies Team at Home versus Milford on Sea 1. A great win in this rearranged match on the day before they play Milford's 2nd Team. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 43 - 33. Points 4 - 2.

Tuesday 27th June. NFWBA Ladies Team at Home versus Milford on Sea 2. Another great win and a Full House in this second match against a Milford Team. Rinks 2 - 0. Shots 44 - 19. Points 6 - 0.

Tuesday 27th June. NFBA Men's 1st Team Away versus Braeside. A good performance and win keeps the 1st Team in 4th place. Rinks 2 - 2. Shots 63 - 71. Points 2 - 6. The deduction of 1 point, for a late result in week 8, has no effect on league position.

Thursday 29th June. B&DWBA Ladies Team at Home versus Milford on Sea. An exciting game. However this 1 shot loss keeps the Ladies in third position. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 28 - 29. Points 2 - 4.

 Thursday 29th June. NFBA Men's A Team at Home versus Verwood. This 30 shot win places the A Team mid table. Rinks 3 - 1. Shots 71 - 41. Points 7 - 1. Ringwood will be penalised 1 Point and 10 shots for fielding two Ladies in this match. However, his will not affect the current league position.

Thursday 29th June. NFBA Men's B Team Away versus Verwood A. A close match but this 3 shot loss places the B Team in 4th place. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 33 - 30. Points 3 - 1.

Saturday 1st July. B&DBA Morning Mixed B Team Away versus Milford on Sea C. A close game but the B Team lose by 6 shots which drops them down to 4th place. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 34 - 40. Points 4 - 2.

Saturday 1st July. B&DBA Mixed 1st Team Away versus Poole Park. Despite winning 1 Rink, the 1st Team suffer a heavy loss dropping them 1 place into 8th position. Rinks 2 - 1. Shots 80 - 41. Points 8 - 2.

Saturday 1st July. B&DBA Mixed A Team at Home versus Bournemouth A. This further loss for the A Team drops them to the bottom of the table. Rinks 1 - 2. Shots 51 - 70. Points 2 - 8.
