Ringwood Bowling Club

Correction. My euphoria and article, last week, regarding the Men's NFBA Division 5 achievements, were mistaken. My knowledge of the situation was gleaned from the League Table published on the NFBA website, last Sunday. The website has now been corrected which leaves Ringwood B in 3rd place and unfortunately, will not now be playing for the Ivor Fourmy Trophy on League Competitions Finals Day, Saturday 10th September at Lymington BC. Apologies to all for this error.

The Harry Wright Trophy series of matches is now complete. This year there were only three qualifiers, (those who played in at least 75% of matches). Congratulations to the following. The winner is Ivan Griffin with 53points and the Runner Up is Peter Smith on 18 Points.

Tuesday 2nd August. NFWBA Ladies' 2nd Team Away versus Milford on Sea 1. Only 15 ends completed on one rink as one of the Ringwood team collapsed and was unable to continue. Rinks 1 - 1. Shots 44 - 35. Points 4 - 2. 

Wednesday 3rd August. NFWBA Ladies' 2nd Team Away versus Totton & Eling. This heavy defeat allows Totton to close the gap between them and Ringwood's 3rd place. Rinks 2 - 0. Shots 44 - 14. Points 6 - 0.

Thursday 4th August. NFWBA Ladies' 1st Team at Home versus Lymington. Another great win, with maximum points, but still adrift at the bottom. Rinks 2 - 0. Shots 33 - 26. Points 6 - 0.
